What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a site. It lets a site remember preferences or measure audience. We also use the browser’s “local storage” (localStorage) and, where applicable, pixels or similar identifiers: these technologies are subject to the same rules (article 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act of 13 June 2005 and the ePrivacy Directive).
The categories we use
- Strictly necessary: essential for the site to work (chosen language, remembering your cookie choice, display mode). They do not require consent.
- Analytics (statistics): Google Analytics, only if you accept. They help us understand which pages are useful.
- Marketing / advertising: Google Ads and the Meta pixel, only if you accept. They measure how well our ads work and conversions (call, WhatsApp, form).
No analytics or advertising cookie is set before you choose. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and refusing does not stop you using the site.
List of cookies and trackers
| Name | Provider and purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | This site: remembers the chosen language. | 1 year | Necessary |

vm-ec-view (localStorage) | This site: remembers the display mode of the error-code list. | Until you delete it | Necessary |
Third-party content
The Google Maps map on the contact page is embedded content provided by Google: Google may set its own cookies when it is displayed, under its own policy. The service-area map uses OpenStreetMap base maps, which receive your IP address but set no cookie. The Google reviews shown are text embedded in the site. WhatsApp links open a third-party service with its own policy.
Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the button below (or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer). Your choice is kept for 12 months, then we ask again. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Browser settings and opt-out
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge); some features may then stop working. For the services concerned:
- Google Analytics: the opt-out add-on provided by Google (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
- Google advertising: adssettings.google.com.
- Meta: the ad preferences settings of your Meta account.
Google Consent Mode
When Google services are enabled they run with Google Consent Mode: all consent signals (analytics storage, ad storage, user data, personalisation) are denied by default and only updated after your choice.
